LGPD Responds to Several Suspicious Subject Calls

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department has responded to during the week of July 18-25.

Assault

On July 22, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a sexual assault.

Accident

On July 21, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a one-vehicle accident in the 1700 block of Old Plum Highway.

On July 23, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 500 block of S. Madison for a minor accident.

Animal Complaint

On July 20, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to the 500 block of E. Guadalupe for a stray dog. Officer received the dog and took the dog to the animal shelter.

Citizen Assist

On July 18, Maxwell contacted a caller in the 100 block of N. Washington in regard to a citizen assist.

On July 22, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis in regard to a citizen assist.

Disturbance

On July 19, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of S. Jefferson in regard to family members arguing. Officer spoke to one subject and the other subject had already left.

On July 23, Zwahr responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson to a disturbance. Officer took information for a report.

On July 23, Zwahr responded to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to a possible disturbance. Officer arrived and parties had been separated and it was only verbal.

Lost/Stolen

On July 20, Currington responded to the 1400 block of W. Highway 71 Business for a lost cell phone. The phone was located in subject’s vehicle.

Motorist Assist

On July 23, Zwahr assisted a motorist in the 700 block of S. Jefferson that had run out of gas in the middle of the road. Officer pushed the vehicle out of the roadway.

Suspicious Vehicle/Person

On July 18, Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with a complainant about a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Mode.

On July 18, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Von Minden in regard to a suspicious person.

On July 20, Currington was dispatched to One St. Marks Place in reference to a suspicious circumstance. Officer arrived and subjects had left before his arrival.

On July 22, Patrolman Brett Meinardus was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Madison in regard to a subject who approached complainant and asked for money then stated she was trying to get to the hospital to see her father. Officer searched the surrounding area but was not able to locate anyone.

On July 24, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado for a suspicious subject. Officer arrived and subject was not on the scene.

Welfare Check

On July 18, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of E. Upperline for a welfare check on a subject.

On July 22, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E Travis where caller stated that a subject arrived early this morning and went into the bathroom for a long period of time. Officer investigated and found everything was fine.

On July 24, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Ellinger for a welfare check. Officer made contact and all was fine.

Miscellaneous

On July 19, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Crockett in regard to a fire alarm.

On July 22, Maxwell spoke with a complainant in the 200 block of Guy about a civil matter.

On July 23, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Pearl in regard to loud music. Officer searched the area and did not locate any loud music.
