LGPD Responds to Burglary of a Vehicle

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 31 through Nov. 7.

Burglary of a Vehicle

On Nov. 4, Mohr responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a call of a burglary of a motor vehicle and took the report.

Accident

On Oct. 31, Patrolman David Mohr responded to the 100 block of W State Hwy. 71 Bypass Feeder Rd. for two-vehicle minor accident.

On Nov. 3, Patrolman Kevin Currnigton was dispatched the 300 block of W. Travis for a minor accident with no injuries.

On Nov. 3, Mohr responded to the 1800 block of Hwy. 159 for two-vehicle accident.

On Nov. 4, Mohr responded to the 200 block of W. Travis for a minor traffic accident.

On Nov. 5, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 300 block of E. Travis for a two-vehicle accident with minor damage and no injuries.

Nov 5, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Travis in regard to a two-vehicle accident. A citation was issued.

Alarm

On Nov. 3, Mohr responded to an alarm in the 300 block of W. Travis for a back door entry. Officer found back door open and checked the building for intruders and none were found. Secured the building.

On Nov. 4, Sgt. Travis Anderson checked the 600 block of Jefferson for an alarm. The business was fond to be secure.

On Nov. 5, Meinardus responded to the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a burglary alarm that keeps going on and off. Officer upon arrival found an open door. Officer cleared the building and found no evidence of theft or vandalism. Officer was able to secure the door.

Animal Complaint

On Nov. 2, Meinardus responded to the 700 block of E. Guadalupe for a loose dog. Officer returned the dog to its home.

On Nov. 3, Mohr responded to the 300 block of E. Eblin for a cat under a house. Officer contacted animal control and assisted.

Agency Assist

On Nov. 4, Mohr responded to the 100 block of W. Travis for a gas pump spraying fuel and upon arrival assisted the fire department and found a small amount of fuel had been spilled.

On Nov. 6, Maxwell assisted the fire department in the 2400 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a structure fire.

Civil Matter

On Oct. 31, Mohr received a call of a civil matter over a contract dispute in the 700 block of E. Guadalupe. Officer advised to speak to the Justice of the Peace.

On Nov. 1, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a civil matter.

On Nov. 2, Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with a caller in regard to a civil matter.

No. 5, Koehne spoke with a caller in regard to a child custody matter at the police station.

Citizen Assist

On Nov. 5, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of Mode Lane. where caller stated that he was locked in the park. Officer arrived ad let him out of the park.

Disturbance

On Nov. 4, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of Koening where caller stated that her and the father of her child were involved in a verbal argument and both parties stated that no physical abuse occurred. Parties were separated for the night.

Fraud

On Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado in regard to fraudulent checks.

Family Disturbance

On Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Pearl in regard to family disturbance.

Harassment

On Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Franklin in regard to harassment.

Loud Music

On Nov. 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to loud music. Officer arrived on location and did not hear any loud music in the area.

On Nov. 6, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to loud music. Officer spoke to the group and they stated that they had the music playing loudly before officers arrived. Officer requested they keep the music at a reasonable level.

On Nov. 7, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to loud music. Officer arrived and located the loud music and asked the subject to turn the music down.

Loitering

On Nov. 6, Maxwell laws dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business in regard to subjects loitering and asking for money. Officer advised subjects to leave the premises.

Public Intoxication

On Nov. 5, Wostarek arrested a subject in the 400 block of N. Jefferson for public intoxication.

Theft

On Nov. 1, Maxwell spoke with a subject in the 100 block of Steven Ct. in regard to theft.
