LGPD Responds to Accidents, Disturbances
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 12-19:
Agency Assist
On Dec. 16, Patrolman David Mohr assisted with a twovehicle accident in the 300 block of FM 609.
Accident
On Dec. 15, Mohr responded to the 100 block of FM 609 for a two-vehicle accident.
On Dec. 17, Patrolman John Wostarek responded to the 1600 block of State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to a traffic accident.
On Dec. 18, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to an accident that occurred in the parking lot.
Burglary
On Dec. 13, Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with complainant in the 600 block of N. Jefferson about a burglary.
Civil Matter
On Dec. 14, Wostarek spoke with a caller about information on a civil mater.
Dec 17, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Main in regard to a civil matter.
On Dec. 18, Maxwell spoke to a subject in the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to a civil matter.
Citizen Assist
On Dec. 19, Patrolman Brett Meinardus assisted individual in the 600 block of Horton for keys locked in vehicle. Officer attempted to assist but was unable to get the vehicle open.
Disturbance
On Dec. 12, Patrolman Kevin Currington responded to the 200 block of Ellinger for a possible fight. Upon arrival the subjects advised it was verbal only.
On Dec. 12, Sgt. Travis Anderson was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for a male that had been brought in by private car and was not cooperating with hospital staff.
On Dec. 16, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood for a disturbance between mother and daughter.
Juvenile Complaint
On Dec. 17, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr attempted to call back a caller in regards to a school bus complaint. Caller gave back the wrong call back number.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Dec. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of W. Lowerline for a suspicious vehicle. Office made contact and subject was waiting for someone.
On Dec. 13, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Washington in regard to a suspicious person.
On Dec. 13, Meinardus responded to the 1200 block of Hwy. 159 for two vehicles parked in the dark. Officer checked the area but there were no vehicles at the location.
On Dec. 13, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of E. Pearl in the parking lot. Officer checked the vehicle and made contact with the occupants and advised them to leave the location.
On Dec. 14, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of N. Jefferson for a blue car in the parking lot. Officer upon arrival spoke with the owner who was visiting with a friend nearby.
On Dec. 14, Wostarek spoke with caller about a suspicious vehicle in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
On Dec. 16, Mohr received a call of a suspicious red truck in the 300 block of N. Horton. Officer was unable to locate.
Scam
On Dec. 17, Meinardus took repot from individual that advised they received a call claiming to be from Direct TV telling him that he needed to pay them. Caller advised he already paid and thought it was a scam.
Trespassing
On Dec. 18, Maxwell spoke to a caller in regards to a subject trespassing.
