LGISD Approves Several Personnel Changes

Cauthern, Parkers Among the Departures; HS Asst. Principal Hired

At a special meeting Tuesday night, the La Grange ISD board of trustees approved several new hires as well as a number of resignations/retirements.

Nathan Truex was hired as the new high school assistant principal. He most recently worked as assistant principal at Marble Falls Middle School. Truex replaces Brad Harbers, who will be a social studies teacher at LHS starting in the fall. Other newcomers include: Sheri Oltman (educational diagnostician), Juliana Hodge (high school Spanish), Amy Koncaba (high school special education), Codi Kadlecek (new LGISD special education director).

Leaving the district are: Husband and wife band director duo Ramon and Dana Parker, who are moving to Fort Worth, longtime coach Rusty Cauthern, who just led the Leps to a runner-up team finish at the state track meet (he is going to coach at St. Pius in Houston), high school English teacher Riley Inks, Amy Spahn of the Colorado River Co-op.

Additionally, at Tuesday’s meeting, the board officially approved the new drainage improvements detailed at last month’s meeting.
