LG Summer Reading Program Returns

Fayette Public Library in La Grange will host a summer reading program this year. The library did not host the program last year due to COVID-19 precautions.

Library Director Allison MacKenzie said the program this summer will be open to readers young and old alike. Readers can win prizes such as gift cards donated by local businesses based on the number of books they read.

The program includes weekly live events on the library grounds:

• June 2 - Bubble Show with Brett Roberts

• June 9 - World of Magic with John O’Bryant

• June 16 - Austin Zoo Animal Show

• June 23 - The Amazing Mobile Dairy Classroom

• June 30 - Tails & Tales Magic with Bobby Cordell

• July 7 - Falconry and Reptile Show

• July 14 - First Responders: Heroes Saving Lives

All of the events take place on Wednesdays in the Library Heritage Park from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m., weather permitting.
