LG Police Arrest Subject for Public Intoxication
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 10-17.
Public Intoxication
On Oct. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood Lane for a subject knocking on random doors. Officer arrived and arrested subject for public intoxication.
Agency Assist
On Oct. 14, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to an agency assist.
Accident
On Oct. 10, Patrolman David Mohr responded to 64 Bluffview for an accident.
On Oct. 14, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for a two-vehicle accident.
On Oct. 15, Mohr received a call of a minor accident in the parking lot in the 400 block of W. Travis.
On Oct. 16, Mohr responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a minor accident in the parking lot.
Alarm On Oct. 10, Patrolman Justin
On Oct. 10, Patrolman Justin Koehne was dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Jefferson for an alarm. Building was secure.
On Oct. 11, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 for a motion burglary alarm. Officer checked the area, which was without electricity due to the storm and found the building to be secure with no signs of forced entry.
On Oct. 12, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 1000 block of N. Jefferson for an alarm. Upon arrival key holder was on sight having problems setting the alarm.
Animal Complaint
On Oct. 11, Mohr responded to the 300 block of E. Pearl for two dogs running in the area. Upon arrival animal control was already on the way to pick up the dogs.
On Oct. 11, Patrolman John Wostarek spoke to compliant in the 100 block of Rose Mayer that advised their dog chased an animal up a tree. Officer advised caller to take their dog inside and the animal would leave.
Civil Matter
On Oct. 13, Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Monroe in regard to a civil matter.
On Oct. 13, Chief David Gilbreath responded to the River
Oaks Apartments to speak to a tenant who is upset with the apartment manager who is disrespectful to her.
On Oct. 15, Mohr responded to the 200 block of E. Pearl and met with complainant about a civil matter.
On Oct. 15, Mohr responded to the 900 block of E. Travis for a civil matter between an employee an employer.
Citizen Assist On Oct. 10, Meinardus re
On Oct. 10, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of S. Diers Lane in regard to a water leak at a residence. Officer located the water main and shut off the water.
Disturbance
On Oct. 12, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for subject’s arguing with each other in the hospital lobby. Officer talked to subjects who then went their separate ways.
On Oct. 16, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to a disturbance.
Found Property
On Oct. 12, Mohr received property from a subject that turned in a driver’s license and officer found the owner.
Motorist Assist On Oct. 15, Mohr while on
On Oct. 15, Mohr while on patrol observed a family in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business that had locked their keys in their vehicle. Officer assisted with getting the vehicle unlocked.
Possession
On Oct. 16, Koehne wrote a subject a court summons for possession of marijuana in the 1600 block of N. Jefferson.
Reckless Driving
On Oct. 16, Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Guadalupe for racing vehicles. Officer checked the area and vehicles were gone.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Oct. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a suspicious person. Officer arrived on location and spoke with male subject. Subject left the location after speaking to officer.
On Oct. 11, Mohr responded to the 700 block of Sarah Jo for someone knocking on a door at 2:30 a.m.
On Oct. 11, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of Edgewood Lane for juveniles scraping the bricks on his house and hitting his rain gutters. Officer on arrival did not locate anyone.
On Oct. 12, Mohr responded to the 100 block of E. Travis for a subject on the steps that would not leave. Officer arrived and asked the subject to leave.
On Oct. 12, Mohr responded to the 200 block of E. Travis for a subject lying in the back of a business parking lot. Subject was sleeping and was fine.
On Oct. 13, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of Sarah Jo in regard to a suspicious vehicle. Officer arrived on location and spoke with the caller. The suspicious vehicle was the caretaker’s vehicle.
On Oct. 14, Wostarek spoke with caller about a suspicious person in the 600 block of E. Walnut.
Warrant Arrest On Oct. 13, Wostarek arrest
On Oct. 13, Wostarek arrested a subject on an outstanding felony warrant in the 1900 block of Hwy. 159.
On Oct. 14, Maxwell arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant in the 400 block of W. Colorado.
Miscellaneous
On Oct. 12, Anderson responded to a traffic hazard in the area of US Hwy. 77 Bypass. Officer checked the area but the hazard a wheelbarrow could not be located.
On Oct. 14, Maxwell observed a stalled vehicle in the flooded street in the 600 block of E. Eblin. Officer was able to get the subject out of the vehicle and to safety.
On Oct. 15, Mohr received a call of a vehicle speeding in the 300 block of S. Vail.
On Oct. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. Hwy. 71 west for loud music. Officer issued a citation.
On Oct. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Travis for loud music. Officer issued a warning citation.
On Oct. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lower Line for loud music. Officer issued a warning citation.
On Oct. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis for loud music. Officer issued a warning citation.
