LG Police Arrest Individuals for Public Intoxication
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 12-19.
Animal Complaint
On Sept. 18, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a cat making noise in the 1000 block of N. Madison. Upon arriving officer found a cat and a great horned owl fighting in a flowerbed.
Agency Assist
On Sept. 14, Patrolman David Mohr assisted agency with an intruder in a building in the 1300 block of Hwy. 159.
On Sept. 16, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Fannin in regard to an agency assist.
Accident
On Sept. 12, Patrolman Justin Koehne worked an accident involving property damage in the 400 bock of N. Jefferson.
Counterfeit Money
On Sept. 15, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 2200 block of Hwy. 71 Business in regard to counterfeit money.
Citizen Assist
On Sept. 12, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Walnut in regard to a citizen assist.
On Sept. 13, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call to contact an individual in Mississippi about a stolen vehicle, which had been “pinged” here in La Grange.
On Sept. 17, Patrolman Kevin Currington spoke with a subject at the police station who had a question about an old warrant. Officer answered subject’s questions and referred him to the court clerk for further information.
Criminal Mischief
On Sept. 16, Wostarek took information for a criminal mischief incident in the 800 block of Eckel.
On Sept. 18, Anderson received a call in regard to a possible burglary, criminal mischief in the 600 block of N. Jefferson.
Disturbance
On Sept. 14, Currington was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Pearl for a disturbance.
Civil Matter
On Sept. 18, Mohr received a call for a civil standby in the 800 block of N. Eckel.
On Sept. 18, Mohr received a call of a vehicle issue out of Mississippi. Officer advised caller to contact agency out of state to resolve the issue.
On Sept. 15-Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of Eckel in regard to a civil matter.
Loud Music/Persons
On Sept. 16, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Reynolds in for loud music in the area. Officer was unable to locate any loud music or people.
On Sept. 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Franklin in regard to several subjects being loud. Officer arrived on location and searched the area. Officer was unable to locate any loud subject in the area.
On Sept. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Main for loud music. Officer checked with a sound meter and had subjects turn music down.
On Sept. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main for loud music that was turned down upon arrival.
On Sept. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main for loud music. The music was below the decibel limit.
On Sept. 18, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main for music nuisance. Officer issued a warning citation.
On Sept. 18, Anderson received a call for loud noise in the 100 block of S. Brown. Upon arrival the music was turned off and the call cleared.
Theft
On Sept. 12, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a theft. Officer took information.
Public Intoxication
On Sept. 15, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis in regard to a male subject yelling at people. Officer arrived on location and spoke with the male subject. The male subject was arrested for public intoxication.
On Sept. 18, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of E. Lafayette for a suspicious person knocking on callers door. Officer arrived and made contact with the subject. Officer arrested subject for public intoxication.
Property Damage
On Sept. 14, Mohr received a call of property damage to a cactus bed in the 100 block of N. River.
Possession
On Sept. 12, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 800 block of S. Jefferson. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted during the search. Office found marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia.
On Sept. 12, Wostarek conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of N. Horton. Subject was issued a citation for minor in possession of tobacco.
On Sept. 15, Patrolman Robin Emmons was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Vail for possession of a cake vape pin that tested positive for THC.
Reckless Driving
On Sept. 15, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of W Lowerline for vehicles that were racing each other at the location. Officer went to location and was unable to locate the vehicles.
Suspicious Person
On Sept. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of Sarah Jo for a possible prowler. Officer arrived and checked all around the residence. All was fine.
