LG Outage Detailed

Some City of La Grange electric customers in the area along SH 159 north of town experienced an hours-long electrical outage on Sunday, Oct. 10.

La Grange City Manager Shawn Raborn said the outage began when an air switch failed at Janssen Road and SH 159. Later, lightening struck a power line at Weeren Storage. The line burned to the ground, Raborn said.

Raborn said customers along SH 159 were without power for about five hours on Sunday until utility workers were able to restore power.
