A Lehmann’s Household: June Edition

A Lehmann’s Household: June Edition

Household Tips for June:

• To park your car in perfect position in the garage, hang a tennis ball from the garage ceiling, so it touches the windshield. It will show you precisely where to stop.

• Not enough towel bars in your bathroom? Add a second shower curtain rod and you will have plenty of room.

• A hair dryer softens the adhesive under tape and bumper stickers and makes it easy to come off. It also works on contact shelf paper.

This month’s recipe comes from Diana Becker:

Baked Parmesan Chicken

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

3/4 cup Panko crumbs

Grease a baking pan. Preheat oven to 425. Stir together mayonnaise, seasoned salt, paprika, and garlic powder in a small bowl. In a pie plate, combine Panko crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Coat each chicken breast in mayonnaise mixture and them press both sides in crumb mixture. Place chicken on pan, lightly spray with cooking oil to help brown. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

About the cook, Diane Becker:

“I have lived in Warda my entire life except when I went to Texas A&M in College Station. I graduated from La Grange High School and taught there for 29 years until I retired in 2018. My husband Gary and I will celebrate 30 years of marriage in June. We have two daughters Abby and her husband Chesston who live in Cypress and Sophie who is graduating from Giddings High School in May and starting Texas A&M in the fall. Gary and I have discovered our love of national parks since I retired. So far we’ve been to seven national parks and hopefully many more to come.”
