Lane Rightmer Graduates From Baylor University
Lane Rightmer graduated from Baylor University on Friday May 7 with her Masters of Science in Nutrition. She has been hard at work to acquire her degree and has already tested and received her licenses as a registered dietitian.
The graduation ceremony included all the 2020 graduates who had not had a chance to walk the stage. The ceremony was also broadcast live over the Baylor University Facebook page. This enabled more to be able to watch.
Out and About
Clay and Jennifer Rightmer and son Reed took off and drove to Waco to be able to attend Lane Rightmer’s graduation ceremony at McLane Stadium. They also got a chance to catch up with a few friends who also had kids graduating from Baylor.
Ron and Pam Knotts recently attended the Memorial Day service at Shiloh Cemetery near Hallettsville. The weather was beautiful and the cemetery was dressed with bright flowers on every grave. After the service and a short business meeting a light lunch was served. This yearly service is always a good time to share memories and see old friends.
Dana and Darrell Kulak along with Devon Boehnke travelled to Washington on the Brazos for a Mother’s Day celebration with Dana’s mom, Virginia Tappe and Dana’s sisters Beth Field and April Pospisil.
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky enjoyed a Mother’s Day visit from both daughters, Jennifer Dong and Summer Smith who came for the day along with their families. The older grandkids, Conner, Hunter and Olivia did a little bit of fishing, feeding the donkeys and cows while enjoying the country life. The boys caught tadpoles while Olivia picked some wildflowers. The youngest grandson, Marcus just enjoyed playtime with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great day for the family to have a chance to gather and enjoyed catching up.
Roberta and Milton Gullick have been busy celebrating birthdays. They gathered for their daughter Rebecca’s birthday along with their grandson Lance Liccioni’s birthdays in La Grange. They were able to finally meet their sixth great grandchild, Aurora who is already three months old and is the daughter of their oldest grandson Austin and his wife Letaya. Milton’s birthday fell perfectly so he also celebrated his birthday with family.
Ted and Nada Burns have enjoyed having their son Matthew Burns of Anna, along with his son Alex down for a few days visit now that school is out for Alex. Alex is really enjoying some time in the country doing “country things.”
For Mother’s Day Pam Sheffield was able to spend the weekend with and go to church with her daughter Sarah and granddaughter Hayley. They enjoyed a delicious Mexican food lunch and then had fun shopping afterwards. Her son-n-law Grey and grandson Ben were away at a Christian Boy Scout campout and when they returned home, the whole family enjoyed a barbeque dinner together. The next day, Pam’s other daughter Allison joined her and Sarah for a little shopping and lunch. Pam met with two old friends that evening, Darlyn and Jenni. They had fun catching up over dinner. When Pam returned home she met up with Helen Steinhauser and Anne Wright at Darlin’s Diner in Flatonia to catch up with what had been going on and all the news. Along with planning more outings.
