La Grange Students Hold Coat Drive

The La Grange High School cosmetology class and the High School Student Council teamed up to hold a coat drive. The student council members sorted them, and the cosmetology members handed them out at the AMEN building Monday morning, Dec. 6. Assistant Principal Nathan Truex came up with the idea. A total of 75 coats were collected.

“We wanted to encourage as much school and community support and involvement as possible, so we partnered with the LHS Library to offer a book fair discount to any students or community members who donated a coat to the cause,” said Student Council Advisor Heather Muesse.

Donations were received at the School Book Fair held Nov. 29 to Dec. 3. Several boxes of books were donated to the Deputy Santa Program from the La Grange Middle School/High School Library.
