La Grange Police Respond to Numerous Incidents
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports the following incidents his department responded to from May 30 through June 6.
Assault
June 3- Patrolman David Mohr received a call of an assault in progress in the 1000 block of E. Guadalupe. Officer arrived and worked the case.
Animal Complaint
May 31 – Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with a caller about an animal complaint in the 500 block of S. Main.
June 4 – Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell found a dog running loose in the 100 block of E. Crockett and transported the dog to the animal shelter.
Accident
June 4 – Koehne spoke with subjects involved in a minor accident in the 100 block of W. Travis. Individuals agreed to resolve the issue themselves.
June 5 – Patrolman Bret Meinardus responded to the 2400 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for a minor accident No injuries and officer gathered information.
Criminal Mischief
May 31 – Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Eblin in regard to criminal mischief.
Citizen Assist
May 30 – Patrolman Kevin Currington spoke to a citizen in the 700 block of N. Main about brush pick up.
June 1 – Meinardus notified an individual that his vehicle had been recovered after it had been reported stolen.
June 4 – Meinardus spoke with a caller who was requesting a report concerning an incident on his rental property. Officer advised him to try back on Monday, as the employee in charge of that was off for the day.
Civil Matter
May 30 – Currington spoke with a subject in the 900 block of Mode Lane about a civil matter.
June 1 – Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Travis in regard to a civil matter.
June 4 – Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a juvenile issue in the 300 block of Woodhollow.
Disturbance
May 30 – Mohr received a call of a disturbance with a female being hit in the 2100 block of W. State Highway 71 Business.
June 2 – Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 200 block of S. Ellinger where complainant advised that the owner of the property was not paying him enough for the hours he was working. The owner told the complainant if pay was the issue that he could quit. The complainant quit the job and left.
Fire Alarm
June 1 – Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Pecan in regard to a fire alarm. Officer arrived on location and spoke with an employee who stated that it was a false alarm.
Gunshots
May 30 – Mohr received a call of multiple gunshots in the area of the 700 block of E. Eblin. Officer arrived and was unable to locate anyone in the area.
Homicide
May 31 – Meinardus responded to the 600 block of Koenig Lane where caller stated there were bullet holes in her door. Officer arrived and found subject deceased in the residence.
Juvenile Complaint
June 5 – Maxwell observed several juveniles out past hours in the 100 block of W. Lafayette.
Reckless Driving
May 31 – Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of Highway 159 in regard to a reckless driver.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
June 3 – Anderson received a call in regard to a male sleeping in front of a business in the 1700 block of W. State Highway 71 Bypass.
June 4 – Mohr received a call of a suspicious vehicle parked under the water tower in the 800 block of N. Jefferson. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
June 4 – Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a suspicious circumstance.
June 4 – Meinardus responded to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass for a subject asleep at the location. Officer met the subject and he stated they were waiting for the place to open. Subject bought some items and then was waiting for his friend to pick him up.
June 5 – Koehne was dis patched to the 800 block of E. Lafayette to speak with employees about suspicious activity.
Stolen Vehicle
June 1 – Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. 3rd Alley in regard to a stolen vehicle. Officer arrived on location and took information.
Terroristic Threat
June 3 – Anderson received a call in regard to two females making threats in the 700 block of N. Eckel. Upon arrival officer found the girls had already left.
Theft
June 2 – Emmons responded to the 2400 block of W. State Highway 71 Business where an unknown suspect stole a toilet from a portable building.
June 3 – Anderson received a call of a theft of a motor vehicle at One St. Mark’s Place.
Welfare Check
May 31 – Wostarek was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a welfare check. Officer arrived and spoke to a female subject and was advised all was fine.
June 1 – Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Diers where caller advised of children inside an abandoned brick home from the flood. Officer checked the home and could not locate anyone inside or outside the home.
Abandoned Vehicle
June 1 – Patrolman Cari Haman received information about an abandoned vehicle on private property in the 200 block of W. Colorado. Property owner called back later and advised the vehicle belonged to an employee.
Close Patrol
May 1 – An unknown person threw an egg on a complainant’s vehicle in the 200 block of S. Lester during the night or early morning. Complainant did not want a report since he cleaned the car and wants officers to patrol the area at night.
Fraud
June 1 – Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Live Oak in regard to a fraudulent phone call.
Littering
June 1 – Meinardus spoke with complainant in the 1600 block of State Highway 71 Business in regard to illegal dumping in a dumpster that is on his property. Officer collected information and video.
Motorist Assist
June 4 – Meinardus responded to the 1300 block of E. State Highway 71 where an 18-wheeler broke down on the exit ramp and officer contacted a wrecker and provided traffic control.
Traffic Hazard
June 5 – Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of Highway 159 in regard to subjects walking in the middle of the road. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate.
