La Grange Police Respond to Accidents, Thefts and Other Incidents Aug. 16-23

Police Report

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Aug. 16-23.

Animal Complaint

On Aug. 19, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 200-block of Ellinger Road for an animal complaint.

Accident

On Aug. 17, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for an accident.

On Aug. 18, Officer Brett Meinardus was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hwy 159 for a vehicle that struck a stop sign and left.

On Aug. 18, Meinardus was dispatched to the 100-block o f W. Colorado where caller advised he found his vehicle damaged after getting a haircut.

On Aug. 20, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident.

On Aug. 20, Ortiz was dispatched to the H-E-B Parking lot in the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident.

On Aug. 20, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Main regarding an accident.

On Aug. 21, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of W. Travis for a one vehicle accident.

On Aug. 21, Meinardus responded to the 1500 block of. N. Hwy 77 for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

On Aug. 18, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson for a suspicious backpack. Officer found it was part of the construction occurring there.

On Aug. 20, Haynie was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Franklin regarding a citizen assist.

Civil Matter

On Aug. 21, Meinardus responded to the 2200 block o f

W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a child custody dispute.

Criminal Mischief

On Aug. 23, Officer Jose Garza responded to the 400 block of W. Colorado in reference to criminal mischief.

Discharging Firearm

On Aug. 22, Meinardus was dispatched to the 1100 block of E. Camp where a subject was removing a firearm from his truck and accidently shot himself in the groin. Subject transported by EMS.

Disorderly Conduct

On Aug. 22, Garza responded to the 400 block of N. Jefferson in reference to disorderly conduct.

Disturbance

On Aug. 23, Garza responded to the 600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for a disturbance.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle On Aug. 16, Ortiz was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy.71 Business for suspicious person.

On Aug. 17, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy 71 Business regarding a suspicious vehicle.

Trespassing

On Aug. 23, Garza responded to the 1000 block of Greenspointe Avenue in reference to a criminal trespass warning. Theft

On Aug.18, Officer Jeffrey Archerd responded to the 200 block of E. Guadalupe regarding a theft.

On Aug. 21, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of S. Jackson where caller stated that daughters watch was taken from locker at school.

Welfare Check

On Aug. 19, Ortiz was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Franklin regarding a welfare check.
