La Grange Police Report

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 2-9.

Accident

On Nov. 2, Officer Jose Garza was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a two-vehicle accident.

On Nov. 4, Officer Darrell Armstead was dispatched to the 800. Block of W. Travis for a possible DWI that turned into an accident.

On Nov. 4, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a single vehicle accident.

On Nov. 7, Haynie was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Reynolds regarding an accident. Animal Complaint

On Nov. 3,Animal Control Officer Justin Pietsch checked on a horse in the 500 block of E. Guadalupe and it was in poor shape Owner was going to take it back to the country.

On Nov. 6, Animal Control Officer Leslie Yezak picked up a racoon in the 400 block of E. Pecan and released it out in the country.

On Nov. 6, Yezak was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Horton for a dog at large.

On Nov. 7-Yezakl picked up a trap and a possum in the 1200 block of E. Laurie Lane.

On Nov. 7, Yezak had a cat in a trap in the 500 block of N. Horton. It was a brown tabby with collar and tags. Cat was transported to the animal shelter.

On Nov. 7, Yezak was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Fannin for a rat snake. Bait box with the snake and bait was removed.

On Nov. 8, Haynie was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Reynolds for an animal complaint.

On Nov. 9, Armstead was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. Travis for an animal complaint.

Assault

On Nov. 4, Armstead conducted a follow up for assault in the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.

On Nov. 4, Armstead was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Jackson for an assault in progress.

Counterfeit Money

On Nov. 3, Haynie was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass regarding counterfeit money.

Civil Matter

On Nov. 4, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of Foreside regarding a civil matter.

On Nov. 4, Haynie responded to the 800 block of E. Roitsch regarding a civil matter.

On Nov. 5, Garza responded to the 400 block of W. Colorado regarding a civil matter regarding a flood light on the neighbor’s house.

Citizen Assist

On Nov. 6, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 700 block of N. Washington where caller complained about people walking in and out of the residence. Officer advised them to secure the residence.

City Ordinance Violation On Nov. 3, Garza responded to the 400 block of W. Colorado for a subject burning leaves.

On Nov. 9, Haynie was dispatched to the 900 block of Hanacek regarding a city ordinance violation.

Disturbance

On Nov. 4, Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Fannin for a disturbance.

On Nov. 4, Haynie was dispatched to the 600 block of US Hwy. 77 North regarding a rolling disturbance.

On Nov. 7, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Vine regarding a disturbance.

On Nov. 9, Haynie was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a disturbance.

Fraud

On Nov. 7, Haynie spoke with a subject in the 100 block of Smith regarding fraud.

Found Property

On Nov. 7, Armstead was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Travis for found property.

Loud Music

On Nov. 4, Armstead was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Colorado for a loud noise complaint.
