La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 21-29.
Animal Complaint
On Nov. 24, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 900 block of E. Walnut for neighbors dog barking non-stop.
On Nov. 28, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a dog on the road in the 600 block of N. Jefferson. The owner had secured the dog upon officers’ arrival.
Agency Assist
On Nov. 25, Meinardus spoke with Austin police in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
Accident On Nov. 22, Sgt. Travis An
On Nov. 22, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to an accident in the 1000 block of Hwy. 159. There were no injuries.
On Nov. 24, Patrolman John Wostarek responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident.
On Nov. 27, Patrolman Kevin Currington responded to the 1100 block of N. Von Minden for an accident where a car hit a fire hydrant.
On Nov. 27, Mohr received a call of a one-vehicle accident in the 100 block of N. Washington.
Alarm
On Nov. 24, Currington was dispatched to the 2300 block of State Hwy. 71 Business for an alarm. It was a false alarm.
On Nov. 26, Currington was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 for an alarm. All was secure.
On Nov. 28, Anderson responded to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an alarm. The business was found to be secure.
Burglary
On Nov. 28, Anderson received a call to return to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for possible suspect inside the business.
Civil Matter
On Nov. 23, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr spoke with a caller in regard to a civil matter in the 600 block of N. Washington
On Nov. 24, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Colorado in regard to a civil matter.
Citizen Assist
On Nov. 23, Chief David Gilbreath spoke with a citizen about the concern that motorists are running the red light at Jefferson and Travis.
Disturbance
On Nov. 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to several subjects causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.
On Nov. 23, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of S. Washington for a possible verbal disturbance. Officer spoke with both parties and they reported they were just talking loudly.
On Nov. 25, Meinardus responded to the 1100 block of E. Guadalupe for people yelling and then heard what they thought was a gunshot. Officer spoke to the people at the residence who stated they dropped a lighter in their fire and were trying to get away from it. The lighter then exploded.
On Nov. 27, Mohr received a call of a subject being unruly in the 900 block of S. Jefferson.
Family Violence
On Nov. 23, Anderson received a call to contact the complainant in regards to an assault that had occurred over the past two weeks.
Suspicious Person
On Nov. 27, Currrington was dispatched to the 900 block of Horton for a subject knocking on window. The subject had already left the area.
Theft
On Nov. 22, Mohr received a call of a theft in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
On Nov. 24, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell spoke to a subject in the 600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to theft.
On Nov. 26, Mohr received a call of a stolen bike in the 1300 block of Carroll Ln. It was recovered at the end of the block.
