La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department repsonded to during the week of Sept. 26 through Oct. 3.
Assault
Oct 2., Sgt. Travis Anderson was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Ellinger for a disturbance.
Accident
On Sept. 30, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the intersection of E. Fannin and S. Madison in regard to a two-vehicle accident.
On Oct.1, Patrolman David Mohr responded to the 1600 block of N. Jefferson for an accident.
Animal Complaint
On Sept. 26, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 300 block of N. Jefferson for a dog running loose in the parking lot. Officer transported the dog to the animal shelter.
On Sept. 27, Animal Control Office Dean Ahlschlager checked on a rooster in the 200 block of S. Lester.
On Sept. 28, Ahlschlager put dog back in yard in the 700 block of Lafayette.
On Sept. 28, Anderson responded to the 100 block of E. Eblin for a three-legged dog in the area by the library. Officer located the dog and put it back in the fenced yard.
On Sept. 29, Maxwell responded to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 in regard to an animal complaint.
On Oct. 1, Ahlschlager checked on a dog in the 700 block of E. Eblin and advised it was fine and had food and water.
Agency Assist
On Sept. 27, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1500 block of N. Jefferson for family violence. Officer met with subject and referred county jurisdiction.
Burglary
On Sept. 29, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of E. Lafayette for a burglary at a storage closet in the laundry room.
Civil Matter
On Oct. 1, Mohr met with a citizen in regard to a civil matter in the 1300 block of W. State Hwy. 71.
Disturbance
On Sept. 25, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a disturbance.
On Sept. 28, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Jefferson for a verbal argument. Subjects agreed to separate for the night.
On Oct. 3, Anderson responded to the 300 block of E. Eblin for a disturbance. A 911 open line with females arguing in the background.
Found Property
On Sept. 29, Patrolman Justin Koehne picked up a lost wallet from the 2200 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Business.
On Oct. 1, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson in regard to found property.
Lost Item
On Sept. 28, Mohr received a call from a citizen that was trying to get his car keys back. Located the subject that had the keys and returned the keys to the owner.
Scam
On Oct. 2, Anderson contacted complainant in the 500 block of S. Washington in regard to a scam.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Sept. 27, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of N. Jefferson where caller stated subject parked at location and then walked to the business across the highway. Officer upon arrival found they were employees of the business loading equipment to perform a job in Corpus Christi.
On Sept. 27, Anderson responded to the 200 block of S. College for a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the callers home. Officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle, which had broken down, and a wrecker was on the way.
On Sept. 28, Anderson received a call of multiple vehicles in the parking lot in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business and people were getting out. Officer spoke with the people waiting and advised they were waiting on a charter bus and it was bringing a relative to the location. Charter bus arrived and all was fine. Call cleared.
On Sept. 29, Maxwell responded to the 1400 block of Carroll Ln. for a dark color Ford F-150 with two male subjects inside. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate.
On Sept. 29, Wostarek spoke with a caller about a suspicious person in the 500 block of N. Jefferson.
On Sept. 30, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of E. Lafayette for a vehicle stopped on the train tracks. Officer searched the area but did not locate any vehicle.
On Oct. 1, Wostarek observed a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Highway 159. Officer spoke with both subjects in the vehicle and they left the location.
On Oct. 3, Mohr responded to the 900 block of Mode Lane for a subject in black clothes with black gloves and a black hood. Officer was unable to locate the subject.
Theft
On Sept. 29, Maxwell spoke with complainant in the 900 block of S. Jefferson in regard to theft.
Violation of Protective Order
On Sept. 30, Officer Kenny Schmidt received a call of a violation of a protective order in the 300 block of E. Live Oak.
Miscellaneous
On Sept.27, Mohr received a call of a vehicle blocking the street paving in the 500 block of S. Franklin. Officer located the owner and had them move the vehicle.
On Sept. 27, Mohr received a call about an unlicensed motorcycle on private property in the 500 block of Koenig Lane.
On Oct. 1, Anderson received a call of a 911 hang up in the 300 block of Diers Lane. Juveniles possibly playing with the phone and upon arrival office spoke with two juveniles outside who stated they knew nothing about the incident. Officer spoke with two adults at the location and they stated they had not called. Call cleared.
On Oct. 2, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main to check on alcohol permits and all appeared to be in order and no problem found.
On Oct. 2, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main for l loud music. Officer made contact with the subjects and they advised they would shut down for the night.
