La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 11-18.
Assault
On July 17, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Vail in regard to an assault.
Accident
On July 11, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to a minor accident with no injuries in the 2200 block of W. State Highway 71 Business.
On July 16, Sgt Travis Anderson received a call to contact a complainant in regard to an accident that had occurred earlier on private property in the parking lot in the 100 block of E. Travis.
On July 17, Anderson received a call in regard to a twovehicle accident in the 2300 block of W. State Highway 71 Business with no injuries.
Animal Complaint
On July 13, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 200 block of S. Lester in regard to a neighbor having a dispute regarding his animals.
On July 13, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on a dog in the 200 block of S. Lester that was killing ducks and the owner advised they will take care of the dog.
On July 13, Ahlschlager picked up a dog in the 1000 block of Sunset and returned to owner.
On July 14, Ahlschlager picked up five dogs in the 100 block of Country Club Drive.
On July 14, Ahlschlagr picked up a rooster in the 300 block of Ellinger.
On July 15, Ahlschlager picked up two dogs and put them back in their yard in the 900 block of N. Horton.
Alarm
On July 17, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Water in regard to an alarm. Officer checked the business and found it to be secured.
Citizen Assist
On July 11, Currington spoke with a citizen in the 200 block of W. Colorado that was having a problem getting the ATM to work.
On July 13, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of Highway 159 in regard to a citizen assist.
On July 14, Currington was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Highway 71 for traffic control while subject reattached the trailer to the subject’s truck that came off while exiting the ramp at Highway 159 and Highway 71.
On July 14, Currington assisted a citizen in the 1900 block of Highway 71 Business in trying to locate her son’s phone.
On July 16, Anderson received a call for a theft in the 1000 block of N. Von Minden.
Disturbance
On July 14, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lower Line in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and took report.
On July 16, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of Edgewood in regard to a disturbance.
On July 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Fannin in regard to a disturbance. Officer took information for an incident report.
Found Item
On July 11, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a wallet that had been found in the 2200 block of W. State Highway 71 Business.
On July 15, Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place in reference to found property and it was placed in lost and found.
Harassment
On July 14, Mohr received a call to meet with a complainant in the 500 block of Koening in reference to possible harassment.
Lost Item
On July 15-Chief David Gilbreath was dispatched to the 1800 block of W. State Highway 71 Business and was advised of an item a complainant lost.
Minor In Possession
On July 18, Patrolman Justin Koehne issued a subject a citation for minor in possession of alcohol in the 900 block of E. Travis.
Reckless Driving
On July 16, Koehne spoke with a complainant at the police station about concerns about reckless driving.
Suspicious Vehicle/ Person
On July 12, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
On July 12, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Camp in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
On July 12, Meinardus spoke with an individual in the 900 block of E. Camp in regard to suspicious activity occurring in the area.
On July 13, Maxwell was dispatched to the area of N. Main and Hanacek in regard to suspicious activity.
On July 16, Maxwell spoke with a caller in regard to a subject who had been illegally dumping in the 700 block of E. Upperline .
On July 16, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for a suspicious person. Officer spoke with the subject who was waiting on a friend.
On July 18, Koehne responded to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for subjects in the parking lot. Subjects were gone when officer arrived.
Welfare Check
On July 12, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a welfare check.
On July 12, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1500 block of Highway 159 in regard to a welfare check. Officer located the male subject and he stated all was fine.
On July 13, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of N. Main for a male walking down the street yelling at himself and hitting himself in the head with papers. Officer was unable to locate him.
On July 15, Mohr received a call of a welfare concern in the 1000 block of N. Von Minden. Officer arrived and found all was fine.
On July 17, Koehne did a welfare check in the 500 block of S. Madison and subject was fine.
Miscellaneous
On July 12, Investigator Troy Stevens responded to the 100 block of W. Travis for a fraud complaint.
On July 17, Koehne checked on loud music in the 300 block of S. Vail.
On July 17, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of Svoboda in regard to sounds of fireworks. Officer arrived on location and did not hear any fireworks being popped.
