La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 4-11.
Accident
On July 5, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell responded to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass in regard to an accident.
On July 7, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident with no injuries.
On July 8, Meinardus responded to the 2000 block of N. US Highway 77 for a one-vehicle accident. The driver was taken to St. Mark’s Medical Center.
Animal Complaint
On July 6, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr received a stray puppy in the 600 block of S. Meyer. Officer placed puppy at the animal shelter.
On July 10, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a dog bite from the hospital, however the victim did not give any information.
Citizen Assist
On July 6, Sgt. Travis Anderson transported a male subject from the 700 block of E. Travis to the Greyhound bus stop in Weimar without incident.
Curfew Violation
On July 6, Mohr initiated a curfew violation in the 300 block of E. Travis.
Criminal Mischief
On July 4, Meinardus spoke with a caller in regard to criminal mischief that had occurred at his residence while he was away.
On July 8, Maxwell spoke to a complainant in regard to criminal mischief in the 800 block of E Colorado.
Disorderly Conduct
On July 4, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1400 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to two males who were possibly intoxicated.
On July 6, Patrolman Kevin Currington responded to the 900 block of E. Colorado to ask a disruptive subject to leave. Officer arrived and subject had already left.
On July 8, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to disorderly conduct.
Disturbance
On July 6, Currington was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for a disturbance between a manager and a customer.
On July 8, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of N. Main where caller stated that a woman was yelling at a worker then left the location.
On July 8, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Horton in regard to a disturbance.
On July 9, Zwahr responded to the 300 block of Northpointe for a possible disturbance. Officer was unable to locate.
Fireworks
On July 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Camp in regard to someone popping fireworks. Officer located the fireworks.
On July 4, Wostarek observed several subjects popping fireworks in the 100 block of S. Brown.
On July 4, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Colorado in regard to someone popping fireworks in the area, Officer located the fireworks.
On July 4, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Sarah Jo in regard to fireworks. Officer was unable to locate the fireworks.
On July 4, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lower Line in regard to someone popping fireworks. Officer located the fireworks.
Gunshots
On July 7, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of Carroll in regard to possible gunshots.
Harassment
On July 5, Currington spoke to a subject in the 700 block of E. Milam that is getting unwanted texts. Officer advised subject
On July 4, Meinardus spoke with a caller who stated his car battery was dead and needed a jump in the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Officer provided a jump for his car.
Reckless Driving
On July 9, Zwahr responded to the 200 block of Northpointe for a go-kart traveling at high rates of speed around the complex. Officer was unable to locate any go-kart.
Suspicious Person
On July 6, Zwahr responded to the 100 block of E. Travis for a suspicious person in all black walking near the businesses vehicles. The vehicles were secure and subject was seen receiving a ride from an unknown subject.
On July 7, Zwahr received a call of a suspicious person in the 700 block of W. Travis. Officer was unable to locate any person.
Theft
On July 4, Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of N. Von Minden for a theft.
On July 7, Meinardus responded to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass for a theft that occurred at the location and complainant has identified the suspects.
On July 9, Mohr responded to the 1900 block of Highway 159 for a theft.
Welfare Check
On July 4, Patrolman Justin Koehne responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a welfare check.
On July 7, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Sarah Jo in regard to a welfare check. Officer made contact with the subject and stated everything was fine.
Miscellaneous
On July 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of Heintze in regard to loud music. Officer spoke with homeowner and a warning was issued.
On July 5, Currington was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a business alarm. All was fine and an employee was on scene.
On July 7, Mohr was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Horton for a call of trespassing. how to block texts and unwanted advertisements.
