La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of On June 6-11.
Assault
On June 6, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regard to a subject that was threatened with a gun.
Agency Assist
On June 10, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to one St. Mark’s Place where caller stated that she was with a subject in the emergency room who stated she was being trafficked. Officer spoke to caller and determined that the incident occurred in the county and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified.
Accident
On June 7, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a two-vehicle accident at E. Travis and S. Franklin.
On June 9, Meinardus spoke with complainant in the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business that advised the car parked next to her must have sideswiped her vehicle while she was in the store. Officer checked the cameras but was not able to see the location of the incident on the store cameras.
On June 9, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of S. Jefferson where a subject’s tire came of their Jeep while subject was driving. The tire struck another vehicle causing minor damage. Officer took information.
On June 9, Meinardus spoke with a caller in regard to being involved in an accident in the parking lot of the convenience store in the 800 block of E. Travis. Subjects exchanged information and officer provided a blue form.
On June 10, Meinardus spoke to an individual that reported having an accident where she struck a mailbox in the 1800 block of N. Jefferson. Subject spoke to the owner of the property and notified him of the incident. He advised her to report accident to police.
Disturbance
On June 10, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of Highway 159 in regard to an irate subject.
On June 10, Patrolman Justin Koehne was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Colorado where caller advised a subject was inside of the location yelling and then he left.
Reckless Driving
On June 6, Koehne was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a vehicle driving reckless through the parking lot.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On June 7, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of S. Washington. Officer arrived to location and identified all occupants.
On June 7, Mohr received a call of a suspicious vehicle parked with the doors open in the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle upon his arrival.
On June 7, Mohr received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of W. Travis. Officer arrived and found it was the FedEx driver having lunch.
On June 8, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr received a call of suspicious people entering an abandoned building in the 200 block of S. Ellinger. Officer did not find any subjects on scene or in the area.
On June 8, Zwahr responded to the 300 block of E. Colorado where caller stated someone was knocking on her window. Officer searched the area but found no subject near the residence.
Criminal Mischief
On June 9, Meinardus spoke with complainant in the 100 block of N. Main that advised that someone flipped a breaker outside of the building shutting off the A/C and then threw bricks around the parking lot. Officer did not see any permanent damage to the business.
Welfare Check
On June 7, Patrolman Robin Emmons was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place where a female left the emergency room and refused treatment. Officer located the female in the 1800 block of Highway 77. The female’s vehicle was towed to Paul’s wrecker and she was transported to the emergency room. The vehicle was stolen out of Austin.
