La Grange Police Investigating Several Theft Incidents
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 5-12.
Theft
On Sept. 6, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a theft that had occurred at another location.
On Sept. 7, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Jefferson in regard to a theft. Officer took information.
Sept 10, Maxwell spoke with subject in the 1300 block of Highway 159 in regard to a theft.
On Sept. 10, Wostarek took information for a theft in the 1300 block of Highway 159.
On Sept. 11, Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with an individual in the 1700 block of E State Highway 71 Bypass in regard to a theft.
Assault
On Sept. 8, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of an assault in the 1500 block of W. State Highway 71 Business.
On Sept. 10, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell spoke with a subject in regards to an assault in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
Accident
On Sept. 5, Mohr observed a two-vehicle accident in the 700 block of E. Travis. Officer took information for report.
On Sept. 8, Mohr received a call of a minor crash in the 500 block of E. Milam.
On Sept. 8, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a two vehicle minor accident in the 900 block of E. Travis.
On Sept. 10, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of W. Travis in regard to a traffic accident.
Animal Complaint
On Sept. 8, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up a Pit-bull in the 1000 block of E Fannin.
On Sept. 6, Ahlschlager picked up two Pit bulls in the Bluff view area.
On Sept. 7, Ahlschlager put two dogs back in a yard in the 500 block of E. Pecan.
On Sept. 7, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of Svoboda to meet with a subject that wanted to drop off a cat at the animal shelter. The animal shelter staff took possession of the cat.
On Sept. 9, Ahlschlager checked on an armadillo in the 400 block of S. Washington.
Citizen Assist
On Sept. 6, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane to talk to a subject who needed a ride. Officer made contact with the caller and she advised she had a ride arranged and didn’t need assistance.
On Sept. 6, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell spoke with all in the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regard to a court order.
Disturbance
On Sept. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. The female subject was arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
On Sept. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Pearl in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. Subjects were separated for the night.
On Sept. 7, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 200 block of N. Main where caller stated that he heard loud arguing from the street. Officer went and found two subjects at the location and spoke to the subjects and they left the location.
On Sept. 9, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of Ellinger for a subject beating on a door. Officer arrived and the subject was gone on arrival.
On Sept. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Koening in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with both subjects. Subjects were separated for the night.
On Sept. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lower Line in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. Subjects were separated for the night.
Harassment
On Sept. 10, Maxwell spoke with a subject in the 900 block of Scherrer in regard to harassment.
Parking Violation
On Sept. 7, Meinardus tagged a travel trailer parked in the road in the 900 block of E. Walnut.
On Sept. 7, Meinardus tagged a travel trailer parked in the road in the 700 block of E. Walnut.
Public Intoxication
On Sept. 7, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to an intoxicated subject. Officer arrived on location and spoke with a female subject and after speaking with the female subject it was determined she was not intoxicated.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Sept. 8, Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson for a vehicle broken down that the property owner did not want on their property any longer. Officer took information and advised property owner of their options.
On Sept. 9, Complainant came to the police station and advised of a suspicious vehicle that drives in the neighborhood and inside the park area. Complainant would like officers to patrol the area.
On Sept. 9, Mohr responded to the 100 block of N. Main where complainant advised of suspicious letters from around town.
On Sept. 9, Mohr received a call of a suspicious person outside of a business in the 800 block of E. Travis. Officer arrived on location and was unable to locate.
On Sept. 11, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1000 block of Highway 159 in regard to a suspicious person.
Trespassing
On Sept. 6, Meinardus responded to the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business where complainant advised a former employee at the business and had been advised not to return to the location. Officer upon arrival issued a criminal trespass warning to subject.
