La Grange Police Dept. Issues Truancy Citations in December

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 19-26.

Alarm

On Dec. 20, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to an alarm in the 100 block of W. Colorado. Upon arrival it was determined that two employees had just exited the building setting off the alarm.

On Dec. 20, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 800 block of E. Travis for an alarm. Officer checked the building and found it was secure and no signs of forced entry.

On Dec. 21, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr cleared a building after an alarm was set off in the 600 block of S. Washington. Officers found no sign of forced entry or glass breakage.

Agency Assist

On Dec. 20, Anderson assisted Flatonia police with an uncooperative prisoner at St. Marks Medical Center.

Animal Complaint

On Dec. 20, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of loose cattle in town in the 200 block of S. College that escaped from a cattle trailer.

On Dec. 20, Mohr received a call of a cow in White Rock Park and he contacted animal control to get in touch with the owner.

On Dec. 21, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Camp for two lost puppies. Officer took them to the animal shelter.

Accident

On Dec. 22, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a traffic accident.

On Dec. 24, Mohr responded to the 1000 block of Salm for two parked cars involved in an accident.

On Dec. 25, Mohr received a call of a single vehicle accident in the 1000 block of S. Madison.

Civil Matter

On Dec. 21, Patrolman Robbin Emmons issued truancy citation to parent for non-attendance for child in the 200 block of S. Jefferson.

On Dec. 21, Emmons issued truancy citation to parent for child not attending school in the 300 block of Diers.

On Dec. 21, Emmons issued citation for non-attendance for child not attending school in the 900 block of S. Jefferson.

Citizen Assist

On Dec. 20, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of E. Travis to assist after individual locked his keys in his vehicle. Officer was unable to unlock.

Disturbance

On Dec. 20, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson for subject yelling at people in the house and had a handgun. Officer upon arrival found the subject outside. Subject admitted to using meth and the subject was arrested for pubic intoxication.

On Dec. 23, Meinardus was dispatched to the 1700 lock of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass for a customer at the location causing problems. Officer met with the subject and ordered him to leave the location.

On Dec. 25, Mohr received a call of a disturbance in the 200 block of S. Overbay.

Disorderly Conduct

On Dec. 21, Mohr received a call of someone using profane language in the 700 block of E. Upperline.

Forgery

On Dec. 21, Investigator Troy Stevens took information on a forged check in the 200 block of W. Colorado.

Harassment

On Dec. 20, Zwahr spoke with caller in the 100 block of E. Colorado in reference to harassment.

On Dec. 22, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell spoke to a subject in the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to harassment.

On Dec. 25, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of Koening for possible harassment.

Juvenile Complaint

On Dec. 22, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Milam in regard to a juvenile complaint.

Suspicious Vehicle/Person

On Dec. 21, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass for a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact with subjects.

On Dec. 24, Currington received call of a subject walking down the road yelling in the 200 block of Ellinger. Officer made contact with subject.

Traffic Hazard

On Dec. 20, Zwahr responded to a traffic hazard in the 700 block of W. Travis. Traffic was due to bridge construction.

On Dec. 22, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Guadalupe for a cable wire down.

Vehicle Pursuit

On Dec. 19, Wostarek was in a vehicle pursuit in the 300 block of Hanacek Ln.

Miscellaneous

On Dec. 20, Mohr received a call to assist with an oversize load escort in the 900 block of S. Jefferson.

On Dec. 23, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 lock of E. Pearl in regard to loud noise. Officer upon arrival was unable to locate any loud noise.

On Dec. 23, Meinardus spoke with caller in regards to his juvenile daughter being touched inappropriately by another juvenile female.

On Dec. 25, Anderson responded to the 100 block of W. Pecan for loud music and found two separate parties going on. The residents were instructed to turn the music down.
