La Grange Man Charged With Murder After Weekend Homicide

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Saturday Sept. 4, just after 2 p.m. Fayette County Deputy Ryan Meagher and Sergeant Charles Jobb were dispatched to the Green Acres Apartments for a questionable death investigation.

Initial investigation was that the cause of death was a homicide. Law Enforcement on scene soon developed a person of interest and investigation continued.

Texas Ranger Brent Barina and Fayette County Investigator Sergeant Angela Lala, Investigator Marc Bennett, Michael Otten, Adam Mack, and Lieutenant David Beyer all assisted in the investigation.

The person of interest was located in Bastrop County and was arrested. Currently charged with Murder is 28 year-old Denzale Jydon Myles of La Grange.

Myles was magistrate by Justice of the Peace Precinct One Kyle Hartmann and bond was set at $500,000.

The victim and the manner of death have not been released at this time.
