La Grange Knights of Columbus Celebrate a Century of Service

There was no more fitting way to celebrate Columbus Day weekend than by honoring what has been a century of service by the La Grange Knights of Columbus. Sunday the local KC chapter celebrated its long history of service to this community with a pair of events. At lunch Sunday there was a private luncheon at the KC Hall that included local officials, regional and state KC/diocesan dignitaries, and many Knights and families. Then Sunday afternoon a public celebration at the hall was held with free hamburgers, and music by the Czechaholics. On several tables in the hall were displays items from the group’s history including photos, state and national awards. The local KCs are an integral part of local fundraising events, and their hall was flooded in Hurricane Harvey but built back better than ever has been the site of countless local events.
