KJZT District III Holds Annual Meeting in Fayetteville Aug. 16

The KJZT District III held their annual meeting and social on Sunday, Aug. 16, at the St. John Catholic Church Parish Hall in Fayetteville. A total of 80 members and guests attended from Fayetteville, Ellinger, Industry and Nada societies.

The officers of the St. Anne’s Society #10-Fayetteville (hosting society) were introduced Mary Jane Toddy (President), Helen Wied (Vice President), and Lois Kaspar (Treasurer). Also attending was State President/CEO Catherine Sylvester, District III State Director Joy Kovar, State Coordinator of Jr. Activities Anne Wick, Father Steve and Deacon Robert from St. John’s Catholic Church.

Father Steve began the social with a prayer then everyone enjoyed a wonderful catered lunch by Koopman’s. A moment of silence was offered for recently passed society secretary, Rose Rohde. Her family was given perpetual enrollments in the KJZT Clerical Endowment Fund in recognition of Rose’s service and dedication to KJZT. Her daughter, Roxane, will step in to complete her duties as secretary of St. Anne’s Society #10.

Two members received their 75-year membership pin: Mary Francis Warschak (Ellinger) and Catherine Ann Faist (Industry).

Ellinger (#41) and Industry (#47) and were recognized as Platinum Status Societies and Fayetteville (#10) and Nada (#17) were recognized as Diamond Status Societies for 2026. Each society will receive a funding check to help with Society operations.

Deacon Robert led the group in a memorial service held for the KJZT members that had passed away in the last year.

The meeting concluded with a closing prayer in thanksgiving for the time together and wishes for safe travels home.
