Jamie Moreau Running for JP in Pct. 2
Jamie Moreau has announced her candidacy for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2.
Moreau is a discerning and decisive personality that will excel at the position. She has a master’s degree in psychology and worked for 12 years with sick and dying children and their families at Texas Children’s Hospital before becoming a teacher in Fayette County.
Jamie and her husband Craig moved to Fayette County as young adults and all of their children were born as Fayette County residents. Her parents are also Precinct 2 residents as is her brother and his family. Her brother serves as a Fayette County EMT.
Moreau is an active member in the community and is constantly working to help others. The Moreaus became a certified foster home and helped raise two preschool brothers who were in state custody. She taught the current La Grange High School senior class when they were just sixth graders.
Moreau then went on to teach in her own district, Fayetteville, ISD. She has served in various volunteer positions within the community, including being on the board of the AMEN Center Food Pantry and volunteering in food distributions.
Currently, Moreau is an officer on the board of the Fayette County Republican Women and supports candidates that exhibit honor and hometown values. She has volunteered throughout the pandemic to help patients in need. She also received, organized and distributed supplies of food and water during the February 2021 freeze and Hurricane Harvey.
Moreau said she looks forward to the opportunity to represent and serve Precinct 2 as Justice of the Peace.
