Husmann Memorial Donations Sought

Memorial donations for Coach David Husmann are being accepted through the Shorthorns Forever Association, a 501 (c) 3 organization where donations are tax deductible.

Donations may be mailed to Shorthorns Forever Assoc., P.O. Box 113, Schulenburg, TX, 78956. You can also drop off donations at Fayette Savings Bank, 87 N. Kessler Ave. in Schulenburg. Donations can be made online by going to www. shorthornsforever.com – click on the DONATE tab, then the MEMORIAM tab and follow the prompts.

Make checks payable to Shorthorns Forever. Include your name and mailing address unless you wish to remain anonymous.

Proceeds will be used in connection with the naming of Shorthorn Stadium or field in memory of Coach David Husmann including signage, a statue, bust or plaque, or possible improvements to stadium facilities like the field house, weight room, track, etc. should excess funds be available.

A Celebration of Husmann’s life took place at Shorthorn Stadium Saturday, Jan. 16. The service was archived and can be viewed on the KTIM.org website. Click on the tab: “CLICK HERE TO SEE KTIM’S LIVE EVENTS!” in the upper right hand corner. Then click on the tab: ON DEMAND. Then click on the WATCH tab beside “David Husmann Celebration Of Life - Schulenburg Stadium.”
