After three years in Grenada he spent his fourth year doing clinical at the University of Florida in Gainesville. They are looking forward to having him back in Texas again.
Attends Graduation
Joyce Alexander is out and about and was able to travel over to Shiner to attend her granddaughter Hallie Layne Herman’s high school graduation. Hallie graduated from Shiner High School on Friday night just prior to the big storms rolling through. She arrived to the graduation ceremony aboard her favorite horse wearing her cap and gown. This is true Hallie fashion and she will be going the Equine Dental School in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. She began her studies at the school last summer and will be an equine dentist when she completes the program. Hallie is the daughter of Jennifer and Gerald Herman of Shiner.
Rain
There has been rain almost every day so far this week. Small showers, big showers and sometimes lots of wind accompany the rain. There were numerous trees down across roads and in pastures with the ground saturated and strong straight line winds blowing extremely hard. Creeks ran out of their banks keeping a number of Muldoon residents caught in their homes.
All that rain has brought lots of mud puddles and other forms of standing water. With lots of water come even more mosquitoes. Be sure to pour out any standing water you have around the house if you can.
Some have been having problems accessing different parts of their property due to the muddy situation. Many are getting stuck. It has been a long time since we had this wet of a situation to work with. Please be careful where you drive.
Out and About
Devon Boehnke, along with Dana and Darrell Kulak enjoyed having Jeremy Wells come in from Austin to help do some work on the place. Jeremy’s efforts were put off for a while since he had to wait out some high water to get to Devon’s house.
Anne Marie Cherry spent as much time as she could in Muldoon. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She has returned to Columbus, Georgia where she is a music professor of horn for summer camps before heading out to do more musical engagements all across the country for the summer break.
