History Lovers Bond Over Book

Rylee Black, a third grader at La Grange Elementary, attended the program held at Fayette Heritage Museum Sept. 4 where professor Bobby Smith talked about his newly released book, “Black Farm Boys: The Untold Story of the New Farmers of America.” The book contains lots of local history and photos. Rylee’s grandmother says she has a lot of interest in Black history and she wanted to make sure she was there. Rylee is the daughter of Byron and Rochelle Black and the granddaughter of Bonnie Wellington. Rylee is shown above with author Bobby Smith at the event Sept. 4.
