Historic Storm: A Timeline

• It first dropped below freezing at 4:25 p.m. Saturday afternoon and it would stay that way until 5:55 a.m. Wednesday.

• There was some freezing precipitation starting Saturday evening, but the snow really started overnight Sunday, with many parts of Fayette County getting more than four inches of snow. After the snow stopped falling is when it really got cold.

• Monday morning Feb. 15 from 7:15-8:15 a.m. it was a low of 11 degrees and it never got warmer than 23 degrees that day.

• On Tuesday Feb. 16 at 6:35 a.m. it hit a low of 7 degrees.

• On Wednesday morning sleet fell across Fayette County, coating tree branches and power lines causing more power outages.
