Girl Scouts Rally Slated for April 8 in La Grange

Girl Scouts is not just about cookies. The Girl Scouts started in 1912 when Juliette Gordon (Daisy) Low organized the first troop in her hometown of Savannah, Ga.

Girl Scouts has provided girls of all ages and backgrounds with unique girl lead experiences.

Girls are challenged, connected, and encouraged to take meaningful action at every turn in life.

The Girl Scout experience is participating in many activities from exploring the great outdoors to engaging in healthy activities. Girls can connect with other Girl Scouts around the world and they can also carry out meaningful community service projects. You can earn badges and pursue the Girl Scout Gold Award and discover future potential in yourself. As a Girl Scout, you also participate in hands on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skill building.

Did you know 52% of women in business were a Girl Scout, 71% of female senators were a Girl Scout, 100% of female secretaries of state were a Girl Scout and nearly every woman who has flown in space was a Girl Scout?

There will be a Girl Scouts Rally on Thursday, April 8 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Girl Scouts Hut (front porch) located at 659 E. Milam in La Grange by the Elementary School. Have fun, make new friends, and grow in confidence.
