Giddings Woman Drives Through La Grange Yards Fleeing from Police
In the early morning hours of Dec. 12 while on patrol Deputy Seth Nagel observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations at the intersection of N. Jefferson and Travis St. in La Grange. Deputy Nagel attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle The vehicle made an immediate turn, increased speed, cut off their vehicle lights, disregarded a stop sign, and eventually left the roadway driving through the yards of some residences in an attempt to evade Deputy Nagel. Deputy Nagel located the vehicle, unoccupied in the back yard of a residence. Deputy Nagel and other Deputies began to search the area.
A nearby resident advised Deputies about a subject coming to their door and trying to enter the residence. Deputies continued to search the area and located the suspect hiding in an outbuilding of one of the residences. The driver allegedly had fled from the traffic stop due to the fact they were driving without a driver’s license.
Arrested and booked into the Dan R. Beck Justice Center was Raquel Dominguez, age 28, of Giddings for the offenses of evading arrest/detention and burglary of a building due to her entering the outbuilding without the consent of the property owner.
