Future Winter Weather Could Become Extreme

With Winter Storm Uri long in the rear view mirror and with the cold and wet Easter weekend that passed, it brings up the question what we to expect in the coming years or was this winter just an anomaly?

This question was suggested by a reader.

I’m not saying that the snowmageddon is going to become a yearly tradition, but it might be on the high end of what next winters could be. According to my professors and a few articles that I have been reading we could be expecting colder winter and more extreme weather throughout the year as the effects of climate change starts to rear its ugly head.

With weather becoming more and more unpredictable year over year it will be interesting to see how this spring plays out. Even predictions for this year’s hurricane season are forecasting it to be an above average year for storms in the tropics this year with an earlier start as the high temps of the Atlantic ocean are suitable for intense preseason storms. With all this out there, I am not trying to doom and gloom everyone or say the sky is falling, all that I am saying is be prepared as we don’t quite know what might come next.
