Friends of Kreische Brewery And Monument Hill Hosting Summer Membership Reception July 27

The Friends of Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites will host a summer membership reception on Tuesday, July 27 at 7 p.m. Current members are invited to the historic sites to enjoy drinks, desserts, and fellowship. Nonmembers are welcome to join the Friends organization that evening. Friends memberships may also be purchased in advance by visiting the Friends’ website or contacting the Site’s visitors center.

The membership reception will feature a variety of wines from Rohan Meadery and Live Oak Brewing Company’s special release of Schuetzenverein Pils, a beer inspired by the Sites’ stories. A selection of summer-themed desserts will also be available. Sites staff and the Friends board of directors look forward to meeting new members, reconnecting with old members, thanking volunteers, and sharing exciting updates about the Sites’ programs. “Our Friends membership has grown impressively over the last year and we’re grateful to finally welcome our Friends on the Bluff for a fun evening surrounded by scenic views and treasured history,” says Friends Board President Katy Beauford. This membership reception is one of several upcoming exclusive events that are benefits of Friends membership.

The Friends of Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites is the key partner of the Texas Historical Commission in supporting education and interpretation programs, community outreach, education and interpretation programs, and other important Sites initiatives. “Friends members enjoy exclusive events and other benefits while helping preserve and share the unique history of Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill,” says Sites Manager Marsha Hendrix.
