The fried chicken dinner sponsored by the Carmine Hall was postponed until March 7.
Heritage Committee Meeting
The Heritage Committee of the Carmine Chamber of Commerce will meet March 3 at 10 a.m. in the museum on the south side of Highway 290. The topic of discussion will focus on superstitions, signs, and old wives’ tales of the past, some of which remain a part of our culture. All are welcome to attend.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine High School Cub baseball team will participate in the Burton tournament March 4-6.
Spring Break will be March 15-19.
School was cancelled February 15-19 due to the snow and freezing rain.
Carmine VFD
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department Drill night is March 8. The annual meeting with election of officers is March 25.

MLLC News
Lenten service will be held in Waldeck at 7 p.m. on Wednesday with Pastor John David Nedbalek leading the service.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m. Worship with Holy Communion, observing the Third Sunday in Lent, is at 10 a.m. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Recycle Trailer
The Recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean no. 1 and no. 2 food grade plastics (milk cartons should be separated from other plastic), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans are accepted. It is very helpful to have the recycled items separated. Attendants are available to help unload.
They kindly ask that you please wait to drop off items when they are open.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Carmine Chamber
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10-2.
