Fayetteville Scout Donates Picnic Table for Eagle Project
Logan Sklar, a senior at Fayetteville High School, built and donated a picnic table to the City of Fayetteville as his Eagle Scout Service Project, with the assistance of fellow scouts Jacob and Josh Nigh. The scouts are members of Boy Scout Troop 204, La Grange.
All the materials for this project were donated by Sutherlands Lumber. The newly finished table now sits under the tree in front of the City of Fayetteville office building. The City extends its gratitude and congratulations on a job well done.

Buddy the Cat
The square in our small town will be a little quieter and a little lonelier without our town mascot Buddy the cat. Formally named Buddy Boy Waddles, he lived the last of his nine lives and left us last week for more adventures in the clouds. Buddy was an adventurer, an explorer, a nomad, a beloved pet, a foe to few and a friend to many.
Buddy was more familiar with the square than most residents, having relished the ins and outs of every store, restaurant, workplace, gallery, sidewalk and alleyway. We wish him a sweet life in the hereafter and extend our deepest sympathies to his parents, Morgan Zator and Todd Campbell.
