Picking Park
Picking Park on the Square in Fayetteville will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 2-9 p.m. Fayetteville Picking Park is a event where those who enjoy jamming and listening to bluegrass music gather on the second Saturday of each month at the Historic Fayetteville Square. A beginner jam, hosted by Lou Lou Barbour takes place from 2-3 pm, in the Old Firehouse.
Art Exhibit
Art exhibit by Jeremy Serna, Richie Vios, and Stephen Zhang, Light, Land, and Life, opens Saturday, Sept. 12 through Oct. 17. The Opening Reception will take place on Saturday from 4-6 p.m.
Sunday Polka Dance
2nd Sunday Polka Dance with Alli and the Country Polka Dots will be held Sunday, Sept. 13 from 2-5 p.m. at the new Fayetteville Community Center. Admission is free.
Chamber Mixer
The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will hold a Chamber Mixer and member meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 5-7 p.m. at Triple C Bar & Grill. The social and meeting will be held to elect new board members. The public is welcome to attend; voting on board members is limited to current members.
Classic Car Show
The Fayetteville Lion’s Club will host a Antique and Classic Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Fayetteville town square and is free to the public. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Free spectator parking is available and there are public restrooms on the square. Car judging will end at noon and awards will be presented at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit Fayetteville ISD scholarships.
