Fayetteville Christmas Tree Display Now Open
You do know the 7th Annual Fayetteville Christmas Tree Display and Contest is all set up in the old fire station, right? It’s open to the public every evening from 5:308:30 p.m. through Christmas. Remember that festivities include a Sip and Stroll on Friday, Dec. 12, the very last day to vote for your favorite trees and wreaths. Deputy Santa
The office of our Justice of the Peace in our square is all set up to register kids and receive toy donations for Deputy Santa, a benevolent program run by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The cut off is Monday, Dec 15 at 12 p.m. Here’s how to participate: 1. Donate toys: Bring in a new, unwrapped toy for a child aged 12 and under.
2. Register a child: Parents/ guardians must bring the child’s birth certificate and proof of Fayette County residency (like a utility bill or school form). Children must be 12 or under. Registration takes just a few minutes.
Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase additional toys for local children. Fayetteville, let’s help make this Christmas magical for children that may not have anything under the tree.

Reminder: there will be no City Council meeting in December.
Fayetteville Museum
The Fayetteville museum was recently gifted a collection of family history items from the Trebig, Wunderlich, Noak and Drawe families including pictures, family trees, marriage licenses and much more. The museum is open on Saturdays. To visit any other day, call (832) 904-6290 or (713) 537-7444, and they will be happy to open it for you.
Country Christmas
The 28th Annual Fayetteville Country Christmas celebration is on Saturday, Dec.13. Shop, dine, enjoy a tour of homes, a lighted parade and live music by the Danielle Reich Trio. ARTS Holiday Show
“The Holiday Show,” a community art exhibit presented by ARTS, opens in the Ross Gallery, coinciding with Country Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 13. The exhibit celebrates local community artists and provides a special opportunity for creatives to showcase their work.
Visitors are invited to enjoy the festivities throughout the day. Then, stop by the gallery from 4-6 p.m. for the show’s opening reception and stick around for the lighted parade, which rolls out on the square at 6 p.m.
Fayetteville EDC
The Fayetteville Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 10. All are welcome to attend. Mobile Food Pantry
The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at St. John on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 10-11 p.m. Walk up to the entrance and bring bags or carts for pickup.
St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County.
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
Fayetteville Brethren
Services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. Adult Bible Study is held before worship from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
