Fayette Fair Heifer Sale Breaks Records

The Fayette County Fair Commercial Heifer Show and Sale took place Aug. 28-29, 2026.

86 Fayette County 4-H and FFA members competed in the following competitions, Recordbook/Interview, Herdsman Quiz, and Salesmanship Contest. 161 head of high-quality bred heifers were exhibited and sold for a total of $1,142,100 which is about $7,094 average per head, both were records for this event. $14,575 was awarded in premium money to top place heifers and educational event winners.

The Grand Champion Pen of 2 Heifers was exhibited by Tatum Fritsch and the buckle sponsor was Lewis Construction.

The Reserve Champion Pen of 2 was exhibited by Avah Noriega and the buckle sponsor was H-E-B. Other placings in the Pen of 2 Heifers included 3rd place-Georgia Jones, 4th place-Madison Markwardt, 5th place-Nolan Surman, 6th place-Rowdy Guenther, 7th place-Haddie Krebs, 8th place-Ellie Morgenson, 9th place-Caden Tovey and 10th place-Tate Fritsch.

The Grand Champion Pen of 1 Heifer was exhibited by Kole Schmitt and Ashley Mitchel and Round Top Real Estate was the buckle sponsor.

The Reserve Champion Pen of 1 Heifer was exhibited by Kennedy Kaspar and the buckle sponsor was Fayette Savings Bank. Other placings in the Pen of 1 Heifer include, 3rd place-Holden Holub, 4th place-Reagan Williams, 5th place-Kyler Jacob, 6th place-Raelynn Beseda, 7th place-Kannon Jacob, 8th place-Teague Weinert, 9th place-Brennan Chudej, and 10th place-Crockett Guenther.

The Grand Champion Halter Heifer was exhibited by Teague Weinert and the buckle sponsor was All In Exotics. The Reserve Champion Halter Heifer was exhibited by Avah Noreiga and the buckle sponsor was Capital Farm Credit. Other places in the Halter Heifer Division include, 3rd place-Talon Weinert, 4th place-Rilan Karisch, 5th place-Reisy Janca, 6th place-Lacee Surman, 7th place-Tatum Fritsch, 8th place-Slade Mozisek, 9th place-Harper Malota, and 10th place-Emory Malota.
