Fayette Electric Announces Trade School Scholarship Program
Fayette Electric Cooperative (FEC) wants to make sure our scholarship programs keep pace with the pathways today’s students are exploring. In 2022, FEC is excited to announce new scholarship opportunities for high school seniors who will attend an accredited trade or technical institution or a certification program or associate in applied science program at a college or university. Four $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to students entering a four-year university and two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to students entering a trade or technical institute.
“Fayette Electric created the scholarship program to assist with the educational goals of students desiring a higher education and will continue the tradition by making the Rural Scholarship Program available to qualified applicants,” said Fayette EC General Manager Gary Don Nietsche.
The scholarship guidelines have been sent to the counselors of all area high schools. Students can review the guidelines and download the application by visiting www.fayette.coop/ scholarships. Scholarship applications must be returned to Fayette Electric’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, March 7. No handwritten or late applications will be accepted.
Applications submitted to Fayette Electric will be reviewed and evaluated by an independent panel of judges who will select six students to receive scholarships.
