Get ready for eight-second rides, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, and mutton bustin, because the Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse 13th Annual Ram Rodeo is fast approaching.

On August 13-14 starting at 7:30 p.m. each night at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse arena, located at 2141 Blankenburg Lane in La Grange, there will be fun rodeo events including the tradition that started it all, the Posse’s mutton bustin’ which will be held both nights and has a $20 entry and the participant’s weight must be under 55 lbs.

There will also be a clown act by Craig Bickley on both nights and on Saturday there will be a rescue race. Don’t forget to be tough enough to wear pink as a portion of Saturday night will be donated to a local family battling cancer.

You will also be able to enjoy a DJ on Friday night and on Saturday the Risky Liver Band will play. Food and beer will be available and many vendors will have an array of things from toys, clothing and gifts.

Deanna Toddy of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse said, “This is our big event so we are always ready and excited to have this. It’s a big event for the county and it helps us with our scholarship winners.”
