Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of September 2025.

Investigator Marc Bennett is working multiple assault cases as well as sexual assault cases.

Sergeant Ron Naumann took a report of a trailer that collapsed at the trail ride event on September 27. Sgt. Naumann also booked in multiple individuals from the trail ride event on various charges, ranging from firearm charges to public intoxication.

Sergeant Angela Lala transported a subject to a mental hospital for treatment.

Deputy Josh Jones responded to a fraud call, a report was completed. Deputy Jones also arrested a male subject for terroristic threat.

Deputy Terry Guentert took a report of fraud. An elderly woman was scammed out of a large sum of money after falling victim to a scam where someone claimed to be a U.S. Marshal.

Deputy Cody Williams conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 10 for a traffic infraction. Deputy Williams conducted a consent search of the vehicle and located cocaine. The driver was arrested. Deputy Williams also arrested a female subject after locating narcotics during a welfare check.

Deputy Chris Stansberry responded to Interstate 10 in reference to a vehicle where the occupants had been attempting to break into vehicles in Flatonia. A pursuit ensued, the passenger was taken into custody and charges have been filed on the driver.

Deputy James Ulbig responded to property damage in Round Top. A report was completed.

Sergeant Duane Meagher also responded to Interstate 10 in reference to a vehicle where the occupants had been attempting to break into vehicles in Flatonia. Sgt. Meagher arrested the passenger on multiple charges.

Deputy Jason Fowler responded to a disturbance in Ellinger. The male party had outstanding warrants and was taken into custody. Deputy Fowler also responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the trail ride event on September 27. The vehicle was tracked using a phone app and the subject was arrested by the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies Noah Geer and Mark Pritchard responded to a disturbance on FM 2672 near Schulenburg. A male subject was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Family Member). Deputies Geer and Pritchard also responded to a disturbance in Ledbetter. A female subject was taken into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

Deputy Jose Mosqueda took a report of a stolen calf. Deputy Mosqueda also took an Inquest report on Oakland Road near Schulenburg.

Deputy Wesly Arrison took a report of a male that was continually violating a protective order. The male is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail. Deputy Arrison also responded to an animal complaint in West Point, the owner of the animals received a citation.

Deputy Ty Roggenkamp responded to a missing person report on Martin Lane. A search was conducted, with negative results. The person was located the next day in good health and the person purposely stayed the night in the woods to meditate.

Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 54 individuals for the month of September. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported 12 individual(s) to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
