Fayette County Grand Jury Hands Down 18 May Indictments

The Fayette County Grand Jury handed down 18 felony indictments on May 13.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt. Rather, a grand jury issues an indictment when they determine enough evidence exists to formally accuse a person of a crime. The defendants listed below are innocent unless proven guilty by a court.

Kevin Duane Harper, 31 of Round Top, was indicted for tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair, allegedly committed on March 27, 2021.

Spencer Tyrone Montgomery Jr., 21 of Schulenburg, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, allegedly committed on March 31, 2021.

Richard Leland Stolar, 41 of La Grange, was indicted for driving while intoxicated (3rd or more), allegedly committed on March 3, 2021.

Javarius Deante Leblanc, 24 of Dallas, was indicted for assault of a family or household member by impeding breath or circulation (with a previous conviction), allegedly committed on Nov. 25, 2020.

Tyson Paul Schimcek, 37 of Weimar, was indicted for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information (50 or more items), allegedly committed on March 15, 2021. Schimcek was also indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, allegedly committed on March 15, 2021.

Daniel Edward Pierce, 30 of Schulenburg, was indicted for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, allegedly committed on May 10, 2021.

Angela Theresa Pearson, 41 of La Grange, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, allegedly committed on Feb. 6, 2019.

Kenneth Charles Epperson, 36 of Schulenburg, was indicted for injury to a child (reckless bodily injury), allegedly committed on March 2, 2021.

Ashley Marie Berger, 33 of Schulenburg, was indicted for injury to a child (reckless bodily injury), allegedly committed on March 2, 2021.

Joshua Cameron Mitchell, 38 of La Grange, was indicted for driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age, allegedly committed on Jan. 15, 2021.

Aaron Michael Banks, 24 of La Grange, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, allegedly committed on Feb. 12, 2020.

Bianca Cantu, 27 of Hitchcock, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, allegedly committed on Jan. 19, 2021.

John Edward Russup, 58 of College Station, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, allegedly committed on Nov. 9, 2020.

Brandon Bruce Hutchison, 20 of La Grange, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, allegedly committed on November 16, 2020.

Christy Michelle Lichnovsky, 42 of Schulenburg, was indicted for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, allegedly committed on January 28, 2021.

Juan Daniel Martinez, 20 of Waelder, was indicted for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on February 13, 2020.

Miles David Rainge, 27 of Shiner, was indicted for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, allegedly committed on Feb. 12, 2020.
