Fayette County Grand Jury Hands Down 11 Indictments
The Fayette County Grand Jury handed down 11 felony indictments on March 18.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt. Rather, a grand jury issues an indictment when theydetermine enough evidence exists to formally accuse a person of a crime. The defendants listed below are innocent unless proven guilty by a court.
Jessica Renee Garza, 29 of Smithville, was indicted for harassment of public servant, allegedly committed on Jan. 31, 2021.
Jason Jamal King, 22 of Schulenburg, was indicted for burglary of building, allegedly committed on Dec. 24, 2020.
Jesse Carrera, 32 of Perris, CA, was indicted for money laundering greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000, allegedly committed on Feb. 23, 2020.
Charles Edward Atkins, 40 of La Grange, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, allegedly committed on Dec. 29, 2019.
Manuel Antonio Guerra, 20 of Stafford, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group two, less than one gram, allegedly committed on Aug. 12, 2019.
Timothy Ray King, 28 of Bastrop, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on Jan. 8, 2020.
James Dalton Touchet, 46 of La Grange, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on Jan. 8, 2020.
Jennifer Rose Marx, 35 of Weimar, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group two, less than one gram, allegedly committed on Aug. 29, 2019.
Jerod Thomas Siguaw, 23 of San Antonio, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group two, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 400 grams, allegedly committed on June 15, 2019.
Jarred Granger Turnbull, 20 of La Grange, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group two, greater than or equal to one gram and less than four grams, allegedly committed on July 4, 2019.
Billy Joel Polasek, 38 of La Grange, was indicted for escape while arrested/confined for a felony charge, allegedly committed on Jan. 23, 2019.
