Fayette County Fair Association Announces Scholarship Winners

Youth and education are the primary objectives of the Fayette County Fair Association. In 2021 the Fair Association will again award 20 scholarships to seniors from five Fayette County high schools, which include Fayetteville, Flatonia, La Grange, Round Top-Carmine, and Schulenburg. These scholarships are in the amount of $1,000 each, totaling $20,000 for 2021.

Criteria for the scholarships include excellent academic profile, leadership skills, sports, community involvement, work experience and/or participation or involvement in the Fayette County Fair. These scholarships will be accepted at any accredited university/college or vocational school. They allow the Fair Association to assist graduates in fulfilling their desire to continue their education.

The 2021 recipients of the Fayette County Fair Academic Scholarships include:

Fayetteville High School: Madelyn Karstedt, Landon Urban, and Landry Wied.

Flatonia High School: Caitlin Betak, Carly Bonds, Collin Bosl, and Shannen Novak.

La Grange High School: Natalie Blackwell, Ben Gerik, Kalyn Hernandez, Philip Matocha, Abbey Nedbalek, Tyson Roscher, and Kennedy Walla .

Round Top-Carmine High School: Kate Eilers, Ryker Goehring, and Taylor Nelius.

Schulenburg High School: Gavin Kubala, Regan Lux, and Erica Otto.
