Fayette County Deputy Arrests Man For Controlled Substance

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that a suspicious person was located and arrested for possession of a controlled substance on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. Fayette County Deputy A.J. Gonzales was dispatched to a report of a suspicious person on N. Kirtley Road who was asking for a ride.

Deputy Gonzales located the subject who was subsequently searched for weapons. Drug paraphernalia was located, along with methamphetamine. Sergeant Charles Jobb assisted Deputy Gonzales at the scene. Arrested and given a ride to the Fayette County Dan R. Beck Justice Center was Anthony Paul Smith of Austin.
