Fayette Community Foundation Names New Executive Director
The Fayette Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Executive Director, local nonprofit industry activist, Susannah Mikulin. Bringing her passion for enhancing community-driven social services and supporting the nonprofits who implement them, Mikulin’s new role as Executive Director will utilize her expertise and knowledge in nonprofit management to support the philanthropic goals of individuals and institutions areawide.
Mikulin holds a BFA in theatre education from TSU and a masters in nonprofit management from the University of Houston-Downtown. Previously, she has served as Development Associate at Round Top Festival Institute, Co-Founder/ Chief Marketing Officer of 11:11 Events in Austin, as well as the Electives Department Chair and Fine Arts Coordinator of Chapa Middle School in Kyle. Mikulin is Founder of the local Fayette County Community Theatre and has received recognition for her professional work with students and leadership of arts education activism. With broad experience working as an arts educator and nonprofit administrator, she has presented scholarly lectures, keynote addresses, professional workshops, and directed multiple productions for several organizations throughout Texas, including Arts for Rural Texas, Fayette Public Library, Emily Ann Theatre and Gardens, University of Texas, and the International Live Events Association.
Mikulin brings to the position a background in nonprofit marketing, fundraising, development, and communications. Through work with local nonprofits, Mikulin has been able to introduce strategic ideas that have enhanced the partnership between the public and private organizations in the rural area while advocating to individuals on the importance of community philanthropy.
