Fayette Community Foundation Hosts Local Non-Profit Forum
On the morning of May 6, the Fayette Community Foundation hosted twenty-two nonprofit leaders at the Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club to facilitate a professional forum and community needs assessment. Attendees of the forum represented seventeen of the diverse nonprofit organizations who serve Fayette County and the surrounding areas, all of whom were actively engaged in collaborative discussion throughout the meeting.
The professional forum was coordinated by Susannah Mikulin, executive director of the Fayette Community Foundation, who expressed excitement on the positive turn out. “FCF is currently in the process of developing a strategic plan to bring awareness of the financial benefits and nonprofit collaborations that the foundation offers, but truly wants to include the community in the process. I have been so thrilled to see such a positive response and willingness to share insight from everyone who has been contacted”
Mikulin further explained that Fayette Community Foundation aims to utilize the data collected from this nonprofit forum as well as the information received from a recent mail-out of surveys to strategically respond as an organization. She continued by emphasizing that community insight is especially important to the Fayette Community Foundation and expressed appreciation to everyone who has participated in the process in any way. “In addition to the surveys being returned by community stakeholders and local business owners, this nonprofit forum helped us gain insight from the professionals providing social services to Fayette County and the surrounding areas. I’m so thankful to the nonprofit leaders who participated and helped us further understand how we can help them help others.”
Since 2001, the Fayette Community Foundation has been inspiring local philanthropy to increase the vivacity of the local region and the welfare of all residents. Celebrating 20 years of serving Fayette County and surrounding areas in 2021, the community foundation plans to expand its philanthropic impact by providing quality services to donors and bold, innovative community leadership.
