Fayette Co. Cow Calf Clinic Trade Show Slated June 11

Fayette County beef cattle production continues to be a top performer in the state of Texas year in and year out. Annually, beef cattle producers face numerous challenges ranging from fluctuating cattle prices to environmental events like Hurricane Harvey and extreme drought. Therefore, the Fayette Beef Committee along with the Fayette County A&M AgriLife Extension Service work together and present timely and valuable best management practices to improve efficiency in beef cattle production.

Fayette County Fairgrounds will host the annual Fayette County Cow/Calf Clinic and Trade Show on June 11. Various businesses will be on site for the trade show and have pledged numerous donations for door prizes to those in attendance.

Registration will begin at7:30 a.m. with the program kicking off at 8:10 a.m. and should conclude around 3 p.m. Topics will include Picolinic Acid Chemistry Training, A Year on the Ranch with Herd Health in Mind, A Look into Activities and Events with Navidad Valley CattleWomen, Veterinarian Panel Discussion, Updates on New Pesticide Chemistry, and Why My Herbicide Brush Treatment Failed.

Three hours of CEUs (two general, one laws & regs) will be provided for those with an applicators license.

Registration cost is $20 at the door, and includes a catered lunch, light breakfast and snacks, and numerous handouts and presentations. We ask that you RSVP by June 8 to ensure your meal by contacting the Fayette County Extension Office at (979) 968-5831.
