Fall Fayetteville Antiques Show Has New Name, New Location
This fall the Fayetteville Antiques Show becomes Antiques Off The Square. The new location for the popular Fayetteville event is the historic SPJST Hall on the east end of town next to the city’s baseball field. The show’s new home, an icon of Texas dance hall history, is less than a minute by car from the town square, where the show previously had been.
Completed in 1910 the SPJST Hall is a beautiful example of Texas vernacular style woodframe architecture. “This wonderful building is over 110 years old,” says Lisa Stansbury, the event’s producer. “It’s perfect for our show. It’s an antique Texas dance hall. We’re very excited to be here.”
Shaded by lots of beautiful mature oak trees, the new location features a park-like setting with plenty of free parking.
Antiques Off The Square brings together eight great antiques dealers from several states offering an excellent assortment of antique and vintage items ranging from American primitives to Midcentury modern and everything in between. The show has been a Fayetteville staple for over 20 years.
The show also has a special Antiques Off The Square magazine to commemorate the fall event.
The Fayetteville Show is scheduled for Oct. 20-24 and will be open 9 to 9 daily. Admission is free. The street address for the show is 507 East Main Street, Fayetteville, TX 78940.
