Faith Lutheran High Christmas Concert Dec. 9

Faith Lutheran High School will present a Christmas Concert “Faith at Christmas” on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The program will consist of choir pieces, handbell pieces, hymns, scripture readings and more. Refreshments will be served following the program. Everyone is invited to attend. The event will also be streamed on Facebook.

Family Fun Night 

Camp Lone Star in La Grange is hosting another great Family Fun Night on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 5:307:30 p.m. Family Fun Nights include dinner, exciting camp activities, a Family Feud game, and a devotional. This is a great way to enjoy quality family time and connect with your kids. They are located at 2016 Camp Lone Star Rd. in La Grange. The Serbin Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) ladies are collection items for Orphan Grain Train before Dec. 9. They are specifically collecting new underwear and socks (all sizes/ genders), new or gently used stuffed animals and quilts to give to those in need. Thanksgiving Services at St. Paul Lutheran in Serbin will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27. This service will be conducted in both English and German and broadcast on KBUK radio of La Grange.

Couple’s Club at Holy Cross The Couple’s Club at Holy Cross thanks everyone who contributed to their matching fund drive for the picnic hall renovations. Renovations will begin in January, if you would like to still contribute, donations can be brought to the church office.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (This is around the back side of the nec-church). No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions.

Game Day at Holy Cross 

The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, Dec. 18 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Warda Recycle Trailer 

The Warda recycle trailer is located across the street just down from the fellowship hall at Holy Cross. If you have aluminum cans to recycle, there is a wire basket at the picnic grounds. The money from the can recycling goes to the local trail life group. They greatly appreciate your support.

Sympathy Extended 

Sympathy to Lee and Cindy Heselmeyer on the death of Cindy’s great niece, Lindsey Lavergne, on Nov. 17 following a battle with cancer.

Sympathy to Ron and Cyndy Zoch on the death of Cyndy’s brother, Greg Knue.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
